Crown princess of Bollywood Alia Bhatt has ruled the box office with successful films and conquered the hearts of fans around the world. One of her most dedicated admirers is super fan Khushi Agarwal from Uttar Pradesh in India.
Eastern Eye caught up with Khushi to find out more.
What first connected you to Alia?
I immediately formed a connection with Alia the first time I saw her almost seven years back, when I was 12. I was under-confident as a child and looking at her made me believe in myself.
What made you become a super fan?
After watching her for the first time, I made my first social media account for Alia and started following her on Twitter. Every character of her has inspired me to the core. She worked so hard to be who she is, which motivates me a lot and made me become a die-hard fan.
Tell us about something super you have done for Alia?
I think dragging everyone to the theatres on the first day, when I was in my early teens and Alia was doing her initial movies. I convinced my parents a month before the movie released. Waking up till midnight so that I can watch her win the Filmfare award, fighting with my friends and defending her every move.
What has been your most memorable moment?
When I met her. I don’t know if I can ever get that feeling again. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. She was amazing and made me feel so special. I cried a lot in front of her. The way she made me feel so loved and hugged me a couple of times were so amazing.
What is the thing you most love about Alia?
The amount of love she has in heart is admirable. From animals to the environment, she cares about everything. She knows that her voice is important and that’s why she uses it correctly. Even in her late teens, she didn’t take anything for granted and worked very hard.
Which quality in Alia do you most relate to?
To never give up and that no matter how bad it is, I can work hard and make it happen. She believes in the saying, ‘the best revenge is massive success’ and so do I.
What is your favourite work Alia has done?
She has covered serious topics such as depression, rape, drug abuse and so on. All of her work is extraordinary, but Highway will forever be very special to me.
Why do you love being a super fan?
I got to learn a lot from Alia. The motivation I got by watching her work and grow is tremendous. I will forever be grateful for that.
