Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rise to 2782 with 12 new cases

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases rose to 2,782 Sunday after 12 more persons tested positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report, as of 10 pm Sunday, 665 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. Another 75 Individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Eleven patients have died while 2,106 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January this year, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 151,324 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to July 25, according to the report.
