Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rise to 2007 with 6 new cases

Sri Lanka reported 2007 COVID-19 cases today with 6 more persons testing positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report, as of 2 pm Wednesday 394 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. Another 36 Individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Eleven patients have died while 1,602 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 99,983 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 24, according to the report.
