Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rice to 1835 with 21 new cases

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases total increased to 1,835 Sunday with 21 more persons testing positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry reported.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report updated at 10:30 pm Sunday, 883 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 70 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Eleven patients have died while 941 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 75,239 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 05, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
