Over 1000 COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals in Sri Lanka while only one positive case has been reported Tuesday raising the total number of COVID-19 cases to 1858, the Health Ministry reported.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report updated at 10 pm Tuesday, 790 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 41 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
Eleven patients have died while 1057 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
A total of 78,723 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 08, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
