There is no denying the fact that Dabangg (2010) is one of the most successful film franchises Bollywood has ever produced. Be it Salman Khan’s breathtaking swag as Chulbul Pandey or Sonakshi Sinha’s infectious grace as Rajjo, the audience is in love with everything associated with the cop series.

After delivering two highly profitable instalments, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha recently started shooting for Dabangg 3, the third instalment of the franchise, in Madhya Pradesh. The duo completed the first schedule of the movie some thirteen days ago and now they are set to begin the second schedule.

According to reports, the second schedule of Dabangg 3 starts in Mumbai today, where a major portion of the film will be shot at Filmcity. Several huge sets have been erected in the Filmcity to shoot the movie.

“On the first day, Salman will shoot for an outdoor action sequence in Malad. Sudeep, who plays the villain, will be joining in later in the Mumbai schedule. After the two-month schedule, the team will be heading to Wai, where the songs will also be filmed. But that will happen only after the monsoons,” a source close to the development reveals.

Produced by Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 is being helmed by Prabhudeva. The choreographer-turned-filmmaker has earlier directed Salman Khan in Wanted (2009). The duo has teamed up again after a decade.

The makers are planning to release Dabangg 3 around Christmas 2019.
