PTI leader Raoof Hasan was attacked outside a private news channel in Islamabad by a group of transgender individuals wielding a blade. Former prime minister Imran Khan, currently jailed, responded by warning that PTI’s patience is running out and street protests are imminent.

In a meeting with journalists inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Khan declared, “We know who is behind the attack on Raoof Hasan. What happened to him proves that the system is being run through force.” He urged the party to prepare for protests, stating, “Our patience is running out, and we will protest in the streets.”

The PTI condemned the attack and called for a judicial commission to investigate. Imran Khan noted that the party has so far refrained from protesting due to the economy’s fragile state but warned that the government would bear responsibility for any damage. “We will not let the assembly and budget session proceed. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is saying that difficult decisions have to be made. Difficult decisions are made when the leader starts making sacrifices themselves,” he asserted.

Khan criticized Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asif Ali Zardari, demanding they repatriate overseas funds. “The nation has already sacrificed a lot, and now it will demand sacrifices from you first,” he added.

In response to Nawaz Sharif’s claim that his conscience was influenced by a new road to Bani Gala, Imran countered that the road was paid for by selling Toshakhana gifts.

Imran Khan likened his upcoming Supreme Court appearance to a cricket match. The case, concerning amendments to anti-corruption laws, will be heard by a five-member bench led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

Convicted in three cases before the February 8 general elections, Khan called for the live-streaming of all legal proceedings against him to ensure transparency. “They are welcome to initiate even high treason proceedings against me. I am prepared to face the gallows,” he stated.
