No new COVID-19 cases reported in Sri Lanka on Tuesday

No new COVID-19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka Tuesday and the total infected remained at 2,730, according to the Health Ministry.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report, as of 1 pm Tuesday, 671 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. Another 94 Individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Eleven patients have died while 2,048 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January this year, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 141,515 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to July 20, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
