THE newly appointed CEO of Hinduja Bank Karam Hinduja has renamed the Geneva-based institution as S.P. Hinduja Banque Privée.
The name change was approved by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority on Thursday (16). Hinduja was appointed as the CEO of the bank on 15 June 2020.
Since then, the bank has expanded its private banking services by launching new divisions that include Private Capital and Strategic Growth Advisory, as well as broader Asset Management and Investment Advisory offerings that include fintech, clean energy and healthcare strategies.
“I want S.P. Hinduja Banque Privée not just to become a better bank, but to redefine what private banking stands for. In doing so, we will uphold the values of our founder, my grandfather S.P. Hinduja. Those values have informed our mission, to catalyse sustainable, global economic and social development while generating long-term value for our clients, through our multigenerational experience and reach,” said Karam Hinduja, who holds a degree from Columbia University.
“We believe that the greatest market opportunities exist when human and commercial objectives are aligned. Through innovative strategies that leverage our multi-sector, holistic expertise, entrepreneurial roots and our purpose-driven DNA, we look forward to discovering and amplifying solutions to some of our world’s most urgent challenges.”
Hinduja is also the Founder of Timeless Media and its subsidiary Karma, a media platform aimed at developing and distributing content for Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and impact-driven investors and entrepreneurs.
Founded by S P Hinduja in 1978, the bank has offices in Geneva, Zurich, and Lugano – as well as a strong presence in Dubai, London and India. It offers innovative private banking and global investment services, providing its clients with a vital bridge between East and West.
