Group of 288 Sri Lankans stranded in Oman arrives in the country

A SriLankan Airlines flight carrying 288 Sri Lankans who were unable to return to Sri Lanka due to COVID-19 pandemic arrived at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.

The SriLankan Airlines UL-206 flight carrying the passengers had left the Muscat International Airport at Oman at 4.30 am and arrived at the Katunayake airport.

This was confirmed by the Katunayake Airport Officer in charge and Airport Immigration and Emigration Department officials.

After the passengers arrived at the Katunayake airport, they were subjected to PCR tests.

Meanwhile, another 26 Sri Lankans stranded in Hong Kong, arrived at the Katunayake airport at 9.30 pm yesterday.
